House Parties
Choosing to hold a House Party at The Roxburghe Hotel will turn your special day into a truly special weekend.
Arriving the day before your wedding, you will be greeted with afternoon tea served in front of a log fire in the Drawing Room or, if sunny, in the beautiful gardens.
On the eve of your wedding, you have the choice of a traditional Scottish three-course meal served in the Dining Room, or a relaxed barbecue by the Clubhouse, overlooking the golf course. After dinner, many of our guests retire to the Library Bar, take in the country house ambience and savour some of The Roxburghe’s envied selection of malt whiskies.
Wake up on your special day to a traditional Scottish breakfast. It is tradition for the bride and groom not to see each other on the morning of the wedding. So, we persuade the 'best man' to distract the groom with a round of golf on our championship course or some of our other country pursuits while the bride and her bridesmaids can hide themselves away in the Health & Beauty Suite and indulge themselves with a luxurious treatment.
Whether you choose a religious or civil ceremony, the Conservatory is the perfect place to say ‘I do’.
When it comes to capturing your big day, The Roxburghe house and grounds make the perfect photographic backdrop. The Wedding Breakfast, created especially for you by The Roxburghe's award-winning chef will in itself be a celebration - of home grown produce such as the finest salmon, game, wild mushrooms and freshly picked herbs from the garden.
The evening is a time for dancing to a traditional Ceilidh, band or disco in the Conservatory. Or it’s back to your favourite stool at the Library Bar to pick up where you left off on the malt whiskies.
A late night supper of stovies or haggis can be served for those who have built up an appetite on the dancefloor.
, what better way to end your perfect day, than to step outside and marvel at a spectacular fireworks display.
